  1. You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find
    this topic to be actually something which I think I would never understand.
    It seems too complicated and very broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next post, I’ll try
    to get thee hang of it!

    1. Thank you for the comment. I think it was best summarized that mindfulness and meditation is simple, but not necessarily easy. This really becomes clear when we try it out and experience it firsthand.

      When we think of the complexity of our own experience, there is so much happening that it’s hard and sometimes overwhelming to try to simplify the collection of these internal experiences. A blog post will certainly never capture the true essence of it. My personal understanding of mindfulness is that it’s not trying to necessarily control these experiences, but rather affords the opportunity to observe them objectively. It would be like the difference of reading a textbook (observing experiences) vs rewriting it (controlling experiences).

      As with any practice though, it becomes easier and less intimidating with a genuine, consistent effort. If you haven’t tried it, I would really encourage you to do so. There are many ways to get involved. Let me know if I can help you find a community or a program that might be right for you.
